Topic: Nietzsche and the "will to power"- Dec 10

Let's take a look one of the most controversial philosophers in all of history: Friedrich Nietzsche.

Friedrich Nietzsche was a German philosopher in the late 19th century best known for his cynical views and his famous quote: "God is dead."

Our discussion will center around this quote and the following quotes of his:

“We have to be careful that in throwing out the devil, we don't throw out the best part of ourselves.”

“When you stare into the abyss the abyss stares back at you.”

“What is good? All that heightens the feeling of power, the will to power, power itself. What is bad? All that is born of weakness. What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome.”
